Who is in Office Doesn’t Affect the Mission of the Church
In the new political climate, churches have an immense opportunity for impact.
That impact extends beyond who is in office.
That impact extends beyond who is on the supreme court.
That impacts extends beyond even this country.
Right now, the church’s greatest opportunity for impact is to keep the main thing the main thing.
Preach about Jesus Christ.
Proclaim Jesus Christ.
Pray in the name of Jesus Christ.
And don’t let the changing tides of politics distract you.
And while the church must always be able to speak into the culture, she must never forget the Great Commission’s directive:
Matthew 27:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
The church is to make disciples.
The church is to go to the nations.
Baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy, Spirit.
Teach them to observe and obey the Word of God.
And all of this is done, not through the power of whomever is in office, but through the powerful presences of Jesus Christ.
